Dark tart cherries, blueberries, pomegranate arils, red raspberries and strawberries are blended together with almond milk, vanilla and a bit of honey to create this antioxidant packed smoothie. While I was grocery shopping last week, I reached for my usual bag of frozen berries and I saw a new mixed fruit bag next to it. This Antioxidant Blend sounded so delicious, I picked it up instead.
Even in the midst of chilly weather, there are days, especially Mondays following a long, fun weekend full of excellent foods, all I want for breakfast is a light flavor-packed smoothie. This is my version of a detox meal and even without the greens[1] that I typically load into my smoothies[2], this smoothie leaves me feeling great. My kids inhaled theirs in minutes and requested this smoothie again the next day.
